Holding a Ph.D in Biochemistry from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Yingjie has a lifelong interest in art and has been inspired to draw and paint since childhood. Her art reflects imagination and fantasy, which is inspired from nature, fairy tales, and mythology.

Yingjie is now living with her husband and two kids in West Chester, PA. She is a member of Chester County Art Association and has received awards and honors on her artwork.

Her works encompass a wide variety of mediums, including both two and three dimensional forms. Her primary medium is oil and colored pencils.
