In her paintings of West Chester and other local Chester County scenes, Kathryn Young Deaville expresses a keen interest in the constructed world. She studied architecture at Miami University, University of Pennsylvania, and the Architectural Association of London. With her foundation in architecture, Kathryn now uses canvas to interpret the unique character of the buildings and streetscapes of Pennsylvania, and oil as her medium.
She also completes house renderings and portraits on commission. Limited edition giclee prints of her West Chester paintings are available. Kathryn Deaville has lived with her family in West Chester for many years, and is a full-time artist.
